The soft floral scent of lavender is unmistakable. Its aroma alone decreases stress. Lavender flowers are known for their ability to alleviate restlessness, insomnia and depression.
Peppermint (Mentha × piperita)
Peppermint is a hybrid plant that’s a cross between spearmint and watermint. It’s a powerful, tasty ally to other nerve soothing herbs because it nurtures the nervous system. In addition, peppermint has significant levels of calcium, magnesium, and potassium, so you can feel extra good about having it.
Pink and Red Rose (Rosa damascena)
One of the most beautiful symbols of love, rose petals are a tonic for the heart. Rose is a mild antidepressant that uplifts the emotions, so herbalists use it often for grief and heartbreak. Beyond the decadence of rose petals and sensory experience of its floral notes, roses were added to this blend to encourage self-love, the essence of peace.
Kava (Piper methysticum)
This sacred Hawaiian herb is a well-respected sedative that is known to pave the way for cheerful, positive thoughts to emerge. Kava is an analgesic (pain reliever), antispasmodic (reduces muscle spasms), and aphrodisiac… We’ll stop here.
Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis)
The Vitamin C in orange peels can aid in lowering levels of cortisol, a stress hormone. Its great taste adds a beautiful citrus flavor to this blend.
Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana)
Native to South America and used by the Guarani Indians for centuries, the stevia plant contains glycosides that are up to 200-300 times as sweet as sucrose (table sugar). It contains almost no calories and unlike other sugars, it does not activate an insulin response in the body. Stevia is among nature’s sweetest of gifts.
