This calming infusion supports children who are growing up in an overly complicated world. I’m Chilling Too! is formulated to ease mood swings and anxiety with a pleasantly mild balance of child-friendly herbs.

HERBAL BENEFITS

 

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

Lavender’s unmistakable fragrance is found in many calming tea blends because it has the ability to slow down the mind and relax the spirit. Lavender is calming and cooling, cleansing and purifying, adding a slight flowery taste to this blend.

 

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis)

Lemon balm is soothing to the nervous system and has a slight honey flavor. It’s also used for digestive problems, including upset stomach, bloating, intestinal gas (flatulence), vomiting and colic.

 

Linden (Tilia cordata)

Linden’s sweet smell and flavor delight the senses as it calms the body and mind. Linden is an impressively relaxing nervine that helps with irritability, hyperactivity, and emotional imbalances.

 

Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) 

Hibiscus is refreshing, slightly tangy and sweet. It is popular in the West Indies and is the main ingredient in sorrel. Hibiscus contains a significant number of minerals including calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc. It adds a beautiful red tint to this tea which is attractive to little eyes.

 

Spearmint (Mentha spicata)

Spearmint calms tension and decreases irritability. Since spearmint has a milder flavor than its relative peppermint, it is particularly good for children.

  • PREPARATION

    • Place one teaspoon or tablespoon of herbs into your tea infuser for every cup of water. 

    • Heat water to just before boiling and pour over your herbs.

    • Let your herbal blend steep for 5-7 minutes then enjoy.

     

    SUGGESTED USE

    • Ages 2-4: 2 teaspoons of tea

    • Ages 4-7: 1 tablespoon of tea

    • Ages 7-11  years: 2 tablespoons of tea

    • 11+: As needed

    • Use within 2 years.

  • THINGS TO CONSIDER

    • Dosages can be given frequently throughout the day.

    • For optimum flavor and results, use distilled or spring water.

    • You can add more herbs to make a stronger tea.

    • Loose leaf herbs can be reused the same day. The flavor profile will change, but many people prefer the second or third brew!

    • Herbs work best when they are taken consistently over time. For this blend, giving it to your little ones for at least three consecutive days is recommended.
