Nettles, Mullein, Plantain, Astragalus, Orange Peel, Stevia 




Nettles Leaves (Urtica dioica)

Nettles are weeds that you probably see every day without knowing there is a treasure is in front of you. Once used in Europe to create fine cloths and paper, nettles have one of the highest chlorophyll levels among plants. It is nutrient-rich, packed with Vitamins A, B2, C, and K, and has calcium, iron, and potassium. Though it may sting when you touch it, its high iron content combats lethargy and anemia, making it worth it.


Mullein Leaves  (Verbascum thapsus)

Mullein's uses have varied over time. The Cherokee used it for rashes, Creek Indians drank its roots for coughs, and other tribes smoked the roots or dried leaves to treat asthma. For all of these reasons, herbalists favor mullein to remedy respiratory disorders, including seasonal allergies, asthma, and coughs.


Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus)

Astragalus is one of our favorite herbs! It builds resistance to weakness and stress and is an excellent tonic for the lungs, kidneys, spleen, and blood. Its collective benefits increase energy, making it an extraordinary herb for most conditions.


Plantain Leaves (Plantago major)

Quite different from the plantains many of us grew up eating, the herb plantain is a garden weed and silent powerhouse. It has bioactive compounds that balance the histamine response, making it great for allergies. Plantain is used for symptoms such as a runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and sneezing. It has many other benefits, including having anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, analgesic (pain-relieving), and vulnerary (wound healing) properties.


Orange Peel (Citrus sinensis) 

Orange Peel is a stimulant that increases the effect of all other herbs in a formula while also being excellent for eliminating mucus.


Stevia Leaves (Stevia rebaudiana)

Known as candy leaf, honey leaf, and sweet leaf, stevia is native to South America and has been used by the Guarani Indians for centuries. It is 200-300 times sweeter than sugar, without the calories of refined sugar, making it preferred by people with diabetes.

Transcendence Facial Steam

  • Use one tablespoon of herbs per cup (8 oz.)  of water. You can add more herbs to adult blends to make a stronger tea.  

  • Place herbs in a tea infuser. 

  • Heat water to just before boiling and pour over herbs. 

  • Cover and let steep for 5-7 minutes. 

  • Strain and enjoy.

Note: Steeping for additional time may result in a bitter flavor.
