This multi-benefit formula quiets the mental chatter that keeps you awake, releases the physical tension your body holds long after the day ends, and eases the digestive discomfort that disrupts nighttime settling. But Deep Rest goes further: it actively supports overnight nervous system repair, immune restoration, and the kind of cellular recovery that only happens in true deep sleep.

Herbalist Guidance

What you need to know

This is a loose-leaf blend. Since the herbs may settle between uses, mix or shake the container well before measuring each dose to ensure a consistent blend in every cup.

  • Use 1 heaping teaspoon of herbs per cup (8 oz) of water. For a stronger brew, increase to 2 heaping teaspoons.
  • Place herbs in a tea infuser or directly in your mug.
  • Heat water to just before boiling, then pour over herbs.
  • Cover to preserve essential oils and aromatic benefits.
  • Steep for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Strain, sweeten with honey if desired, and enjoy.

30 to 60 minutes before bed (Essential)

Allows the herbs to begin working as you wind down. Giving them time before you attempt sleep yields noticeably better results.

Consistently, every night

The sleep-supporting and restorative herbs in this formula deliver their deepest benefits with consistent nightly use. Benefits build gradually over time.

For Difficulty Falling Asleep

Enjoy your tea while doing a calming activity such as reading, gentle stretching, or journaling. The ritual and the herbs work together to signal your nervous system that it is time to wind down.

For Waking During the Night

Use consistently for at least a week. The sleep-maintaining effects are cumulative and build gradually over time.

Deep Rest Tea is most effective when taken 30 to 60 minutes before bed as part of a consistent evening ritual. Brew your cup in a quiet setting that signals to your body that the day is closing. If you find the flavor too mild for your preference, a longer steep time will deepen both the taste and the potency. This tea pairs directly with the Deep Rest Liquid Extract for more comprehensive sleep and overnight restoration support, and can also be combined with Steady Ground Tea earlier in the day if daytime stress is contributing to difficulty winding down at night. Consistency matters here. Many of the herbs in this formula have the greatest impact after several weeks of nightly use rather than on the first night.

  • For optimum flavor, use distilled or spring water.
  • Store herbs in an airtight container in a cool, dark place to extend shelf life.
  • You can add more herbs to make a stronger brew.
  • Teas can be refrigerated in a sealed container for up to 48 hours.
  • Brewed loose-leaf herbs can be reused the same day, though a longer steep time may be needed to draw out the remaining benefit. The flavor profile will change, but many people enjoy their second or third brew.
  • Best when used within one year of opening. If the color has faded significantly or the aroma is no longer present, it is time to replace.
  • As with most herbal formulas used long-term, periodic breaks are recommended. After 3 months of consistent daily use, consider taking a 1 to 2 week break before continuing. This supports your body's responsiveness to the herbs over time.

Note: This formula contains sedative herbs. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after use.
